Support Center for Residents of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of the Zaporizhzhia Region (2022)

The project focused on providing information and humanitarian aid to residents of temporarily occupied territories. As part of this initiative, a specialized center was established in Zaporizhzhia to coordinate support and address the urgent needs of the affected population.

Geography and implementation period

The project was implemented from May to October 2022. The center's activities were focused in Zaporizhzhia and addressed the needs of residents from 7 temporarily occupied communities in the region.

Key results

As part of the project:

  • data on the current basic needs of residents in 7 communities was collected, and support in the form of medicines and hygiene supplies was provided to 1,400 beneficiaries;
  • a study on the situation in temporarily occupied communities (as of August 30, 2022) was conducted, involving 1,620 participants;
  • an analytical brief with recommendations for regional authorities, local self-government, and the media regarding communication activities was developed;
  • an information campaign was conducted on social media, reaching 200,000 people;
  • the target audience was informed about available services and assistance for residents of temporarily occupied territories and internally displaced persons.
