"Youth Voice" (2020)

The "Youth Voice" project was implemented to increase the level of political and civic engagement among young people in southeastern Ukraine. The initiative aimed to dispel myths and stereotypes about political life and strengthen the role of young people in local decision-making processes.

Geography and implementation period

The project was implemented throughout 2020 in the following regions of Ukraine:

Zaporizhzhia region: Berdiansk, Tokmak, Melitopol;

Dnipropetrovsk region: Novomoskovsk;

Donetsk region: Mariupol.

Key results

As part of the project:

— 536 young people were involved in online surveys and focus groups to study youth interest in political processes;

— 6 two-day interactive meetings were held for 150 participants;

— a two-day political intensive was organized for young people planning to run in the upcoming local elections;

— a collection of best practices for implementing youth political education projects was prepared and published.
